The UK has a strong record of bringing architectural excellence and design expertise to projects across the Gulf region, with British companies involved in many of the iconic projects that have been successfully delivered in recent years.
Saudi Arabia is undergoing a once-in-a-lifetime change, transforming its landscape, economy and future prospects. As Vision 2030 comes to life, the construction industry has seen a boom with multiple giga-projects underway, all seeking creative services, suppliers, solutions and materials.
Against this background, The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) and Commercial Interiors UK (CIUK), supported by The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), have organised a UK Creative Industries Trade mission focused on promoting UK architecture, design, interiors and supply chain expertise.
The mission is made up of twenty nine UK companies who have significant experience in these areas. Out of the companies represented, seven are CIUK members namely Boss Design, Burgess Furniture, ILIV, Liqui Group, Newmor, Panaz and Roman. A brochure showcasing the 29 companies is available HERE.
The companies will all be part of a supported programme of visits that will offer meetings with key buyers/agencies and Government Ministries to find out about new opportunities and explore how they might offer their brand of creative ideas and innovative solutions to help bring new projects to life.
A designed UK Business Lounge, with furniture from CIUK member Boss Design, is available to the delegates at the Index/Hotel Show as a focal point for the group and for use as a base to conduct B2B meetings with key decision-makers.
