Role Purpose
To strengthen Ulster Carpets’ global brand presence across the hospitality and design sectors, building visibility, relevance and engagement across key markets. The Brand Manager will bring the brand to life through creative content, digital channels, industry events and meaningful relationships, ensuring Ulster remains visible and influential within the global design community.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Presence and Communications
Act as a key external representative and ambassador for the Ulster Carpets brand.
Build visibility and engagement across social channels.
Develop engaging, customer-focused content aligned with hospitality, design, sustainability, innovation, and project activity.
Create compelling stories around projects, collaborations, launches, customer successes, and industry trends.
Build relationships with designers, hotel groups, operators, procurement firms, collaborators, suppliers, and industry partners.
Ensure the Ulster Carpets brand is visible within relevant industry conversations and communities.
Act as a brand ambassador for Ulster Carpets, representing the business across customer presentations, industry events, digital content, and thought leadership opportunities.
Customer and Market Insight
Develop a deep understanding of our hospitality, design, and specification audiences across the UK, Europe, and USA.
Understand what content customers want to engage with and how this may differ across markets and platforms.
Stay ahead of international hospitality trends, competitor activity, hospitality developments, and design conversations.
Identify emerging opportunities, partnerships, and content ideas that strengthen the brand's global relevance and visibility.
Regularly engage with customers, designers, and industry contacts to understand challenges, interests, and future trends.
Project and Industry Engagement
Maintain strong awareness of active hospitality projects, specifications, collaborations, and launches across the business globally.
Work closely with Sales, Design, Product Development, and Leadership teams to understand project activity and commercial priorities.
Identify opportunities to showcase projects and collaborators digitally and within the wider industry.
Engage with relevant international industry conversations, publications, events, and networks to strengthen brand presence.
Events and Trade Shows
Lead the planning, coordination, and promotion of key hospitality and design events, exhibitions, and trade shows internationally.
Manage all marketing and communication activity around events from concept through execution.
Develop creative concepts for trade show stands and event experiences.
Produce detailed briefs for stand builders, agencies, and external suppliers.
Collaborate with internal design teams and external partners to create impactful exhibition environments and experiences.
Coordinate pre-event, live-event, and post-event content and communications.
Attend and represent the brand at key international industry events and trade shows.
Customer Engagement and Brand Storytelling
Develop compelling presentations and supporting materials for customer meetings, Lunch and Learns, events, and industry engagements.
Present the Ulster Carpets brand, products, sustainability initiatives, and innovation story confidently to customers, designers, hotel groups, and industry audiences.
Support customer visits, showroom presentations, factory tours, and hospitality events.
Work closely with Sales and Design teams to ensure presentations align with customer needs and commercial objectives.
Translate complex manufacturing, design, sustainability, and technical topics into engaging customer focused stories.
Content and Creative Development
Develop content ideas, campaigns, interviews, features, and collaborations that position Ulster Carpets as a leading hospitality flooring brand.
Coordinate photography, videography, creative assets, and external contributors where needed.
Ensure all communications and content reflect a premium, design-led aesthetic and tone of voice.
Bring fresh, creative thinking to how the brand shows up digitally and physically across international markets.
Identify opportunities for video content, interviews and thought leadership pieces.
Experience
- 5 + years’ experience in brand marketing, communications, content creation or a related role.
- Strong experience in digital marketing and creating engaging content across social channels.
- Experience planning and delivering events, exhibitions, trade shows or brand activations.
- Experience shaping how a brand is presented across tone of voice, visual identity and the wider customer journey.
- Experience working with external creative partners including agencies, designers, photographers, videographers and stand builders.
- Experience within hospitality, luxury interiors, design or specification markets would be advantageous.
