Taking place at Commercial Design in the Park in the Garden of St James, St James’ Walk, Design In Focus is a curated three-day programme featuring eight engaging and thought-provoking sessions that reflect the breadth of expertise across Commercial Interiors UK’s accredited furnishing supplier membership. A platform for ideas, discussion and meaningful connection across the commercial interiors community, Design In Focus promises to be an exciting addition to the Clerkenwell Design Week programme

Created for designers at every stage of their career, as well as operators, specifiers and industry leaders, Design In Focus has been shaped as an accessible and engaging destination within Clerkenwell Design Week.

Across the three days, the programme will bring together a lively mix of panel discussions, conversations, workshops and presentations exploring the ideas shaping commercial interiors today, from design concepts and product specification to hospitality and workplace cultures. It will also explore the increasingly pivotal role of service in transforming how commercial spaces are experienced.

Programme highlights include “Beyond Beige: The New Era of Hotel Design”, hosted by Sanderson Design Group, which will explore the shift towards more expressive, emotionally engaging hospitality spaces and the role colour and pattern play in shaping guest experience. Contract Chair Co. will lead a discussion on the growing crossover between hospitality and workplace design, looking at how the comfort, character and service culture of hotels, cafés and lounges are influencing the future of the office. Another featured session, hosted by GROHE in conversation with Buster + Punch, will explore how aligning design styles across fixtures and fittings can create more cohesive and considered interior schemes.

The programme is as much about connection as it is content, with hospitality, open discussion and the chance to ask questions, share perspectives and be an active part of the conversation.

Each session within the Design In Focus programme can be registered for individually via the Clerkenwell Design Week website.

Through Design In Focus, Commercial Interiors UK and Design Insider are creating a space that feels open, informed and genuinely useful.

Commercial Interiors UK would also like to extend its thanks to Contract Chair Co. for kindly providing the chairs and furnishings, helping to create a welcoming and comfortable space for Design In Focus.
