Kick off the year by gaining fresh insights through a knowledge-focused talk while socialising with industry peers in the vibrant city of Glasgow. This social event is ideal for connecting with designers, architects, and key decision-makers, offering a perfect platform to expand your professional network across Scotland in a relaxed yet professional atmosphere.

The evening begins at 6.30pm with networking, drinks, and a knowledge-focused talk. From 10.30pm, guests are welcome to stay on and enjoy a relaxed late bar with music until midnight.

Knowledge-Focused Talk: Featuring Dawn Campbell and Craig McKie, Bell&Swift

We are delighted to welcome Dawn Campbell, Managing Director, and Craig McKie, Creative Director of Bell&Swift, who will lead the evening’s talk.

Bell&Swift are hotel and hospitality design consultants specialising in creating spaces of real value for their clients and their guests. With over 50 years of combined experience in commercial and branded hotel design, the studio launched in 2019 with a clear purpose: to design interiors that not only look exceptional but work beautifully in practice. Founded in Glasgow and now also established in London, Bell&Swift collaborate closely with clients across the UK and beyond. 

Synopsis

A fast-paced 30-minute conversation exploring Glasgow’s current hospitality, BTR and PBSA landscape. They will share insights from their own projects, discuss the considerations and expertise required for renovation, and examine the rise of adaptive reuse focused on transforming redundant office spaces into hospitality settings. Expect practical market insight, delivery experience and candid discussion, concluding with audience questions.

The Evening Experience

  • 6.30pm – Guest arrival and first drinks reception in The Gallery (Exchange Bar/Gallery)
  • 7.00pm – Guests seated in The Gallery
  • 7.10pm – Talk begins with Dawn Campbell and Craig McKie hosted by Alys Bryan
  • 7.40pm – Talk concludes and guests move to the Print Room
  • Second drinks reception and bowl food service served in the Print Room
  • The Print Room hosts the remainder of the evening’s networking
  • Direct access to an outdoor terrace area, available throughout the evening (including for guests who wish to smoke)
  • 10.00pm – DJ begins
  • 11.30pm – Last orders
  • 12.00am – Event close

Drinks & Token System

To ensure fairness and a smooth experience for everyone, we’ll be operating a drinks token system during the event. On arrival, each guest will be given two drinks tokens to use throughout the evening. Tokens can be redeemed for beer, red wine, white wine, or soft drinks at both drinks receptions.

This approach helps us manage service efficiently while making sure all guests have equal access to drinks throughout the night.
