David Johnston, Managing Director at Newmor Wallcoverings joined the Commercial Interiors UK council in 2023. Newmor is a founding member of Commercial Interiors UK and is the largest independent, privately owned, commercial wallcovering manufacturer in the UK.

I joined Newmor in 1997 and worked my way up through the business, which has been invaluable as I’ve seen the business operation from various perspectives. I believe my journey from the factory floor to senior operational and commercial management has given me a unique insight. In my previous role as commercial director, I extended Newmor’s reach in international markets, and as managing director I have been able to put in place an infrastructure to build on that. Today, Newmor operate in over 70 countries worldwide through a vast international distribution network and regional sales offices based in Poland, Dubai and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. I am passionate about promoting UK manufacturing expertise to the commercial interior sector globally.
