Leading wood floor specialist, Havwoods is excited to be participating in this year’s Clerkenwell Design Week, between 23 – 25 May 2023.
With the brand’s flagship showroom located right in the heart of Clerkenwell on Great Sutton Street, the space will play host to a series of engaging talks, panel discussions, product showcases and events during the internationally-renowned design festival – with Havwoods’ iconic Routemaster Bus and Prosecco Van also making a reappearance just outside of the showroom.
Throughout the three-day event, Havwoods and its knowledgeable team will celebrate the extraordinary journey of wood flooring innovation and inspiration, by showcasing the brand’s core collection of wood floor and wall coverings, as well as debuting a series of new products: Colossal and Havwoods Enlighten.
To kick start the events, Havwoods’ Global Product Director Anthony Scott and Global Marketing Director Paul Moody will be co-hosting a discussion on the ‘Secrets of New Product Development and Innovation’. This insightful talk will explain some of the secrets behind the success of the brand and provide a sneak preview of what is to come.
Get into the next generation mindset with Hamish Kilburn and Creative Director of HBA, Hen’a Yadav who will host an uplifting and informative conversation on ‘Designing for the Future.’ Together, they will explore the concept of designing for future generations and what is needed to elevate the role of design in years to come.
On the final day of the event, Curator Eva Woode will be hosting a panel discussion on ‘Exploring a Circular Future’ with Sustainability Director at Perkins&Will, Asif Din and Partner and Director of London Studio Michael Woodford from White Arkitekter, focusing on the implications of the circular economy and how the construction industry needs to adapt.
Throughout the event, Brand Ambassador Simon Myatt will be hosting a new CPD presentation every afternoon exploring the ideas and thoughts on how architecture and the flooring industry can become more circular. ‘Specifying Timber in Retail’ will be a discussion hosted by Havwoods’ Retail team Steve Clent, Ralph Simpson and Kasia Lovell, exploring the subject of sustainable choices in wood flooring.
In signature Havwoods fashion, the three-day event will be accompanied by champagne, entertainment and canapés, ensuring guests are well looked after throughout the festival. Samples will be available to take from the showroom, with Havwoods’ experts on hand to answer any questions or enquiries.
