Review: Glasgow Networking 2020

The wonderful Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel was the venue once again for our Glasgow Networking Event on 27th February.

Mini Pop-up Exhibition

New for this year was a pop-up mini exhibition with ten BCFA members showcasing their latest products during the afternoon, and through the evening networking. The evening event was attended by over 130 guests many of whom had turned up early to see the exhibition and the mingling was still going strong late into the evening. The keynote talk was given by Ian Burleigh the Executive Chair of ICA who spoke about the business principles behind the success of ICA. Ian also spoke about the need for businesses to engage with their local environments and talked about his involvement with Restore Glasgow the charity that tackles modern slavery in Glasgow. Ian argued that modern slavery is far more widespread than commonly known and designers, architects and manufacturers need to understand how it can intrude into our sector. Restore Glasgow had a stand in the exhibition, and this was understandably busy for the rest of the evening. THE BCFA have made a donation to Restore Glasgow to help them continue to raise awareness of the problem.

Guest Speaker: Ian Burleigh, Executive Chairman of ICA
