BCFA/Design Insider headed to the World Trade Centre in Dubai in May to exhibit and support UK companies at Index Design Series Dubai, the biggest interiors and design show in the Middle East.
BCFA Member Futureglass exhibited alongside the BCFA/Design Insider stand at the show with Managing Director Gareth Phillips representing the company. Futureglass showcased their stunning products: ‘Wire Meeting Table’, ‘Cornflake Light’, and ‘The Tensegrity’ which all received a great deal of attention due to the uniqueness of their design. The BCFA, in partnership with the UK Department of International Trade, also took 12 UK non-member companies to exhibit and represent GREAT Britain at the exhibition.
The show kicked off on Monday 23rd May with Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, cutting the ribbon and being given a tour of the halls. His entrance was followed by a rush of eager visitors filling up the walk ways in awe of all the luxurious international products on display. BCFA International Export Manager Sue Graves ensured all the UK companies were well prepared and ready to take on the four busy days ahead.
Overall the exhibition was a great chance not only to meet potential clients but also to catch up with other members of the international design community. Gareth from Futureglass was impressed with the positive enquiries he received and comments on his products.

Design Insider also participated at Index Dubai as a media/press company, attending the Design Talks over the course of the 3 days, as well as being able to access the Harrods VIP Lounge (images).
