Owned and published by Commercial Interiors UK, Design Insider amplifies the expertise of global commercial interior designers and suppliers by showcasing the latest products, projects and people, while also instigating the sector’s most important conversations.

A curated quarterly for the commercial interiors community

We are surrounded by an extraordinary amount of content every day. Insight, inspiration, expertise and innovation are more accessible than ever before, yet even the most valuable articles can quickly pass by.

IN THE FOLD has been created to address this. Published quarterly, it brings key Design Insider articles back into view, offering readers an opportunity to pause, reflect and reconnect with the ideas shaping the commercial interiors sector.

Each edition presents a curated edit of standout content, spanning workplace, hospitality, healthcare, education, materials and sustainability, providing a balanced and representative view of the industry.

Recognising industry contribution

The first edition of IN THE FOLD also highlights the breadth of engagement across the Design Insider platform.

15 Commercial Interiors UK members have had their content included within this first edition, reflecting the strength and diversity of the association’s membership.

In addition, within the introduction, 50 design studios and 40 Commercial Interiors UK members who featured on Design Insider during Q1 are listed, recognising their contribution to the platform and the wider industry conversation.

Subscriber-exclusive insight

Alongside curated content, IN THE FOLD introduces a new element: an exclusive feature available only to subscribers.

The first edition includes a conversation with Bashar Wali, published for the first time. Offering a direct and insightful perspective shaped by his experience across hospitality operations and leadership, Bashar challenges the industry to move beyond imitation and rediscover originality, human connection and a strong point of view.
