Shower designer and manufacturer, Roman has been providing bespoke designer showering solutions for the bathroom within the hospitality and project sectors for over 37 years. Currently operating in over 70 markets worldwide, the brand is well-established among key international hotel groups, architects and designers – offering huge flexibility in design – highlighted by a choice of glass thickness and 16 colours of frame finish.
All Roman products are proudly designed and made in Britain, are fully UKCA and CE compliant and exceed all international standards with full traceability for a minimum of 10 years, offering the ultimate in quality, precision and craftsmanship. This includes shower enclosures; bath screens; wetroom systems; solid surface anti-slip shower trays; and solid surface fabrication of basins, vanity units and bathroom structures; with case goods and furniture integrated into its designs.
Roman only use the finest quality of materials to guarantee unsurpassed quality and certainty in the manufacturing process, ensuring all products reach exceptional levels of style and performance. Its glass is coated with Roman Ultra Care, which aids the cleaning process by reducing the build-up of grime, limescale and stains while retaining the optical quality of its showers even after heavy use.
Roman is experienced in large project work and frequently create bespoke shower solutions to suit individual customer briefs – working on projects worldwide, most notably across Europe, The Americas, Asia Pacific and The Middle East. Roman also offer solid surface fabrication, designed and manufactured to any specification required. Roman has a 400,000 square feet manufacturing site based in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham – and also has a showroom and warehousing facility set up to serve the Asia Pacific market, Roman Asia, which is based in Kuala Lumpur; and Roman Ireland.
Roman has been accredited to ISO-14001 since 2009 and in 2021 achieved carbon neutral certification from the Carbon Trust – PAS 2060:2014 (Specification for the demonstration of carbon neutrality) with a huge focus on energy and water in addition to emissions from employee’s commuting, business travel and the treatment of waste generated in its operations. Roman has also long embedded circular economy principles throughout its supply chain which is entirely focused upon levels of recycling before and after the life of a product. Sustainability permeates across every department and process which has an enormous impact on material selection, use of recycled materials and recyclability at end of life. Roman utilises materials such as aluminium, brass, cardboard packaging that are all 100% recycled before use – with other materials such as glass close behind.
